Spring is here and so is the pollen, my sympathy to those with allergies.
The Police Memorial will be held on Saturday May 16th at 11 am in front of the Rockland County Courthouse, 1 South Main Street, New City, NY. Immediately following the ceremony there will be food and refreshments served at the American Legion Post on Rt. 304, all are invited to attend.
Our annual Hudson Valley 10-13 BBQ will be held on Tuesday June 16th from 5-9pm on the outdoor deck (weather permitting) of the Haverstraw Elks Lodge, 877 Elks Dr Haverstraw, NY 10927. We ask that all members who are planning on attending please submit a check for $25, which will be given back to you when you sign in, to do with as you please! We ask this because we need to provide a headcount so that the Elks can purchase food accordingly!
The only change this year is that in addition you will need to provide a separate check in the amount of $45 each for your spouse, significant other, or any other guests. I apologize in advance for this change in policy, but prices for everything have gone up! The cost of $45 dollars is the exact amount that we are paying per person for this event, without gratuity. $45 is $10 more than our current membership dues, so please
don’t let it stand in the way of bringing someone. Get those Bi Annual slips in, the
pot is big!
Finally, our next meeting will be Wednesday May 20th at the American Legion Post 488, 529 Lakes Road, Monroe, NY, at 7pm. This is our joint meeting with the Orange County Shields. We will be carpooling from the parking lot between Mavis Tires and Aldi’s (located at Smith St and Rt 59) in Nanuet. The carpool will be departing that location at 5:30 PM. If you are attending inform them at the door that you are with Hudson Valley 10-13 therefore you are not to pay the House Tax. The HV 10-13 will cover the fee for all our members since this is also our monthly meeting.
