I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving with their families.

December 7 is Pearl Harbor Day. We must never forget the sacrifices that our Military made on this day and continue to make every day of the year.

Lobby Day is April 21, 2020.

The Installation Dinner will be on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at the Haverstraw Elks. Incoming President John Briganti, Vice President Kathleen McLaughlin and the new Board of Officers will be installed.

I wish to thank my Board of Officers for their much needed assistance for the last two years. I could not have done it without them.

On November 12, 2019 the HV 1013 met with Senator Jen Metzger at her office in Middletown, New York the meeting went well.

In November 2019 all members should have received a letter from Social Security in- forming them how much their IRMMA will be. This is their Income Related Monthly Adjusted Amount based on their 2018 tax return. Keep this letter it will be needed to file your 2019 IRMMA reimbursement with the city.

On behalf of myself and our Board of Officers I wish all our members a Holy Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa and a Healthy New Year.

Our December meeting will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 7 PM at American Legion Post #1600 in Pomona New York.

There will be no General Membership meeting in January or February 2020.

Our next General Membership meeting will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 7 PM at American Legion Post #1600 in Pomona, New York.

On December 16, 2020 your VSF will be mailed or deposited in a September check. In January 2020 your Social Security will have a 1.6% increase due to the rise in the cost of living.

Our prayers go out to the family of Police Officer Garman Chen who was killed on 11/16/19 in an off duty car accident.
